The legislation covering this field is the decree of June 27th, 2005, on radio broadcasting and cinema showings.

This decree applies to radio broadcasting, to the provision of networks and services and associated bodies for broadcasting radio falling within the area of responsibility of the German-speaking Community, as well as to cinema showings organised in the German-speaking region...

As its first enactment, on 22nd June 2006, the Government of the German-speaking Community passed the resolution to define the form for registering the provision of electronic communication networks and services according to Article 46 of the Decree.
